Media Arts Center Services
It is our goal to make every performance professional quality. For those who are first time users of halls and spaces, we offer workshops and guidelines to insure your event will run smoothly. We offer one technician on board, and training on our equipment for additional technicians provided by the client . The following is a checklist of things to be attended to prior to working in the Mainstage Theater. However this is only a guide (more complex events require extensive planning).
1) Contact our Technical Director regarding our equipment usage and set up. We will work with you to determine your events needs and setup. You MUST complete the space set-up form prior to the event (3 day min).
2) Determine if you need more than one technician (or a designers) for your event. If so, we can supply them for an additional fee. Please consider the following when determining crew size.
- Lighting Designer/Operator
- Sound Designer/Operator
- Stage Manager
- Assistant Stage Managers
3) The house technician cannot run both sound and lights. Also the technician should not be expected to design your show. We will work with you to create looks for you show. For more complex lighting or sound set-ups, we will can supple addition Master Electrician & Technical assistance.
4) We offer the use of our Box Office for larger ticketed events. If you wish to use our Box Office during your show, please have your Box Office Manager contact us for more information.
5) Determine if your event is going to need a house crew for seating audience members and cleaning the Mainstage Theater at the conclusion of each performance.
